Distribution of Holy Communion to Home Bound & Vulnerable
With the temporary suspension of the homebound communion ministry, we are now offering Holy Communion in the Seton back parking lot to those who are homebound and vulnerable due to COVID 19. Those receiving Holy Communion are asked to livestream the Sunday 9:30am Mass and then drive to church for the distribution of Holy Communion starting at 11am.
The Knights of Columbus will guide you into your parking space. Please wear your mask while in your vehicle. Once Fr. Doerr reaches your vehicle, roll down your window, extend your hands, bow your head for reverence, receive the consecrated host, and then say “Amen”. If others in your vehicle want to also receive, they just need to roll down their window and follow that same procedure. Holy Communion will only be distributed in the hand, not on the tongue. Only those in your vehicle may receive Holy Communion. Those who are unable to drive to church will only have the option to make a spiritual communion. After you receive Holy Communion, you will be given the latest version of our bulletin.
This will be a sacred time, just as when you receive Holy Communion in church. If you would like to talk with a priest, or celebrate the Sacrament of Reconciliation, please call the Parish Office during the week . Once you receive Holy Communion you may drive away or stay in your parking space to pray.
