Seton Youth Choir

The Seton Youth Choir is open to all children in grades 2 through 8 (or age equivalent). This choir serves at Mass monthly and rehearses weekly throughout the school year.

No audition is required.

Praise Band

The Seton Praise Band is an ensemble comprised of vocal and instrumental musicians suited to provide contemporary Christian, Praise and Worship music for various parish events throughout the year. The Praise Band rehearses as needed. No audition is required.

Seton Chorus

Seton Chorus is a large choir of mixed voices (SATB) that provides witness, example and support of congregational participation through liturgical singing. Seton Chorus serves at Mass weekly, additionally at select liturgies throughout the year, and rehearses weekly. No audition is required.

Seton Women’s Chorus

The Seton Women’s Chorus is a choir of female voices that serves at Sunday Mass once a month and rehearses weekly. They also lead the music for Advent by Candlelight annually. No audition is required.

Seton Men’s Chorus

The Seton Men’s Chorus is a choir of male voices that serves at Sunday Mass once a month and rehearses weekly. No audition is required.

Seton Victory Chorale

The Seton Victory Chorale is a choir that provides witness, example and support of congregational singing for parish Funeral and Memorial Masses and Services. Rehearsals are held prior to each Mass or Service. No audition is required.

Additionally, our ensembles have recorded a CD, led various concerts and choral offerings, performed several times at our annual Seton Fest, sung in the community and greater Indianapolis area at senior centers and hospitals. For the past four summers the Youth Choir has sung the national anthem at an Indianapolis Indians baseball game. New members are welcome at any time. Symphonic Ensemble

The Seton Symphonic Ensemble is comprised of instrumental musicians (wind, string, mallet percussion) that serves at Mass weekly and select liturgies throughout the year, often providing accompaniment for the cantor or choir. Rehearsals are held one hour prior to the liturgy. An audition with the Music Ministry leadership is required for membership consideration.

Guitar Ensemble

The Guitar Ensemble is an instrumental ensemble that plays weekly at the Sunday noon Mass. Rehearsals are Sundays from 11:15-11:45 a.m. in the Nave. Auditions are required.

Cantors and Accompanists

Accompanists

The accompanist (organist, pianist, guitarist) provides musical leadership and support for congregational singing. Familiarity and understanding of the Ordinary Form of the Roman Catholic Liturgy is helpful. An audition with the Music Ministry leadership is required for membership consideration.

Cantors

The cantor provides witness, example and support of congregational participation through liturgical singing. Music, practice materials, and rehearsals are provided. An audition with the Music Ministry leadership is required for membership consideration.

Schola Nova

Schola Nova is a chamber choir of mixed voices (SATB) that provides the chant Propers and the Ordinary for Mass, as well as a wide variety of sacred, choral literature suited for liturgy. This choir serves at Mass twice a month, additionally at select liturgies throughout the year, and rehearses weekly. An audition with the Music Ministry leadership is required for membership consideration.
